WASH SKID
A clean compressor is the key to get the maximum output from a gas turbine. A clean compressor will keep the airflow laminar. Once contaminants enter the compressor, the airflow will turn turbulent.
A laminar airflow has a higher mass than a turbulent airflow, and since the output from the gas turbine depends on the mass of air entering the compressor, turbulence will reduce output.
Test shows that output from a gas turbine is reduced with ±4% after one week of use without compressor wash. And it will continue decreasing until the compressor has been washed properly.
Using our high pressure wash skids, you can wash the compressor while the gas turbine is still fully operational. And the operation takes around 10 minutes only. The result? You will always have a clean compressor producing nearly 100% of full capacity.
WET COMPRESSION
Our wet compression system injects atomized water into the airstream. The water droplets will immediately evaporate in the airstream and cool the airstream down. When cooled down, the mass of air will increase thus power output increase. With a 100% ambient relative humidity like when it is raining heavily, the increase in output you will get will be around 12%. The lower the ambient relative humidity is, the higher is the increase in power output. On warm, sunny days, you may be able to increase the production of electricity with around 20%.
Our wet compression system can be delivered within a reasonable short time at a relatively modest investment. Within few months you will have your investment recovered.
Our system is very safe. AMCO has delivered hundreds of air inlet cooling systems and have never had an operational error reported.
WEATHER HOOD/ WEATHER LOUVERS
Tropical rainstorms which we experience quite often here in Indonesia can result in very heavy losses of revenues for an operator of gas turbines unless he has taken steps to protect his filter house. Filters become wet, and the pressure drops, resulting in reduced production of electricity. The pressure drop can be so high that the gas turbine has to be stopped completely, thus it does not produce any electricity.
Using our weather hoods and louvers, you can be assured that under most weather conditions, little, or no water will reach the filter house.
Using our droplet eliminators, no water will reach the filter house regardless of weather conditions.
